Kerala to ban flexboards, plastic

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT 2 (PTI): In a significant move to check pollution from plastic and flex, Kerala government today decided to bring in a law to “ban and restrict” their use.

The Government directed the authorities concerned to remove all unauthorised flex board hoardings across the state with immediate effect. Those put up with permission of local civic bodies would be allowed to remain till their expiry period.

“The cabinet decided to bring in a law to ban and restrict use of flex and plastic in the state,” Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters after a Cabinet meeting here.

“We will start by removing flexboards with my pictures and that of other Ministers,” he said, adding that a a comprehensive cleanliness drive programme would be launched from Gandhi Jayanti tomorrow.

Rubber modified bitumen

In a bid to help rubber growers who are facing a crisis due to fall in prices of natural rubber, the Cabinet agreed in principle to use rubber modified bitumen for road construction by the Public Works Department (PWD).

Chandy said Kochi Refinery has been asked to produce more rubber modified bitumen for PWD.

    crystal clean state?
In this crystal clean state there were church attacks, communal violence, pub attacks, moral policing,goondaism/rowdyism,underworld shootouts, school girl rape, manipal rape.

If boy and girl from different communities speak to each other or travel together they are attacked.
This is what you get when you support your communal forces in your crystal clean state.

Most gold smuggling cases reported here are from kasargod only - neighbour of crystal clean mangalore.

Kerala has built the largest technopark in India. Most IT companies are setting up offices outside karnataka now because of better offers from other states and bad attitude of corrupt karnataka govt officials who go on foreign trips at tax payers expense.

Stan is right. Kerala Govt is only bothered about publicity by banning liquor and what not whereas they should concentrate on crating jobs. All mallus end up migrating to Thuubai and Mangalapuram for jobs and a crystal clean state like Karnatakas repuatation is damaged. All smugglers of gold, cullers of cattle and robbers end up comin from the big K and behave like established businessman here. Haha. Dont forget to drink your own maa ka dudh before you dring gaai ka dudh
