Mangalore: Attempt to murder, accused arrested

Mangalore, Oct 13: Police have arrested a person in connection with attempt to murder.

The arrested person is Prajwal Albert (25) and the victim has been identified as Rakesh Shenoy (27).

The incident took place on the night of Saturday October 11. The accused and the victim were said to be friends and had dinner together in a restaurant in Mangalore. It is gathered that during the dinner they had some arguments in the restaurant.

They were seen going out from the restaurant at 11.15 pm. Later outside the restaurant Prajwal Albert allegedly stabbed Rakesh with a knife. Rakesh with injuries on his lips and nose was rushed to hospital.

Kadri police who registered the complaint managed to apprehend the accused on Sunday October 12, a day after the crime took place.

Police are investigating further while the victim is being treated in a hospital.
