Mangalore, Oct 30: After dealing with the various aspects of film making, the week-long national-level documentary film making workshop organised by the Department of Journalism at St Aloysius College concluded with the screening of three films.

On Sunday Oct 29, three short documentary films made by the participants were screened in the college.

 

Tulu and Konkani film maker Richard Castelino was the chief guest for the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the efforts of the students in bringing out their best through films.

 
 

Castelino also distributed the certificates to the participants. A 5-minute documentary ‘Trawler fishing’ was a film on the life of fishermen on t their boats during a catch.

‘Conflict Zone’ was a film on the Mangalore riots. ‘Every body says but nobody does’ was a film on Sulthan Battery. 

 
 

A total of 16 participants from DK and Goa participated in the workshop which was conducted by noted film maker P N Ramchandra.

Fr Richard Rego, Head of the Department of Journalism and Suman Priya Mendonca, lecturer were present on the occasion.
