Suspected Ebola case at Brussels Airport


Brussels, Nov 3 (IANS): A person suspected to be infected with the Ebola virus was detected in Belgium Monday, media reported.

She was immediately transferred to St. Peter's Hospital in Brussels for further tests, Belga news agency reported, and placed in quarantine.

According to Brussels Airport spokesman Muls Florence, the woman became ill while she was on a flight from Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The plane landed in Brussels at around 4.30 a.m. and the airport staff immediately started the procedure that has been put in place to identify and deal with possible Ebola victims as they enter Belgian territory.
