Dubai: 'Konkan Showers' Fever on Rise – Stars Arrive

Dubai, Nov 7: The 'Konkan Showers' fever is on a rise! The SMKC's well-planned and ambitious annual mega event 'Konkan Showers' has overwhelming response with high demand for tickets seen in around the Emirates.
With just three days left for the ‘Bang’, key performers of the event have already started arriving.
On Monday Nov 6 night, SMKC’s main co-ordinator Noel Mascarenhas, event co-ordinator Wilfred Noronha, lead committee member Norbert Sequiera, Ferar and other members of the core committee received the team of Konkan Showers arriving from India, Kuwait and Doha.
A grand welcome was accorded to the Rony D`Cunha and Adrian Gomes from Kuwait who arrived at around 10.30 pm at Sharjah International Airport. They were followed by Melwyn Peris, Nephie Rod, Anita Samson and Adolf Jayatilak.
Yodeling king Melwyn Peris, who is undoubtedly the most senior and popular among all the performers and has been invited to perform in Dubai within a gap of few months. A regular performer in this part of the world, Peris promised his best to entertain the crowd at Konkan Showers.
"I have heard a lot about Konkan Showers and SMKC, it is a prestigious show, I am looking forward to perform," he said speaking to Daijiworld at the airport.
Nephie, equally popular but more among the Bollywood fans and Goan music lovers is eager to perform before the huge crowd on Thursday.
Comedy artiste of 'Johny Alare' fame Nitin Bhandarkar will also be performing in the show and is expected to arrive on Wednesday.
Main co-ordinator of SMKC Noel Mascarenhas, while speaking to Daijiworld confirmed the fact that there is great demand for the ticket of the show. Konkan Showers has the talk of the town; he said adding that there has been tremendous response to the show by sponsors. He also expressed confidence that in the next years SMKC can reach out to more people in charity if there is patronage of sponsors.
