Margao, Nov 15: In a shocking incident in Margao main market on Tuesday, a woman from Raia village reportedly splashed acid over 25-year-old youth Kennedy Sequeira.
People were shocked to witness the incident as the woman did the act and fled the place. Sequeira sustained severe injuries in his eyes and face.
Margao PSI Navlesh Dessai said that the victim was standing near a shop, when suddenly the woman came, splashed the acid and fled.
The victim was immediately rushed to Hospicio hospital, and later to Goa Medical College at Bambolim.
The Margao Police have registered a case under section 326 of the IPC. Further investigation are on to trace the woman. The motive behind the incident would only be known after the accused woman is arrested.
