'No solution to BCCI turmoil until SC judgment'

Panaji, Nov 26 (IANS): The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) is in "turmoil" and its administrators won't be able to find a solution until the Supreme Court passes its judgment on the matter, Goa Cricket Association (GCA) president Shekhar Salkar said Wednesday.

Salkar, after taking over as the new president of GCA after a long-drawn stormy accusation-filled battle with outgoing president Balu Phadke, added that "what happens is for the good".

"They are also in turmoil," Salkar said, adding that the turmoil in the BCCI could only subside in a few days after the Supreme Court judgement on the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) spot fixing matter.

"There is no solution before that."

The role of Indian cricket's top administrators, players and International Cricket Council chairman N. Srinivasan has come under the cloud following a report by Justice Mukul Mudgal, who was appointed by the apex court to probe the allegations of spot fixing and betting in the 2013 edition of the IPL.
