Mangalore, Nov 27: In view of the increased traffic on National Highways, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has submitted a memorandum to the superintendent of police to depute traffic police on NH 17.

KCCI president John Prasad Menezes has said in the memorandum that the traffic on the roads connecting Kottara - Kulur and Panambur-Suratkal needs to be controlled by the traffic police.

He cited bad condition of the roads and increased number of vehicles as causes for traffic jams and stated that travelling on these roads has become a tedious job.
