Mangalore, Nov 29: In a shocking, late-night crime incident on Tuesday, November 28, three unidentified persons stopped a car near the Kadri park here and robbed the driver of a bag containing Rs 1 lac, the police have said.
Mohan Shet from Kumta, intending to buy an apartment in the city, had sent Rs 1 lac through his driver to be paid to the owner.
As the car came near the park, three persons waylaid him, snatched the bag from him and fled immediately.
The police said the act could be of those who knew about the payment being made and timing of the driver's arrival at the spot.
