Mumbai, Feb 24: Well-known football player and coach Tejpal Salian (58) died of a heart attack on Friday, Feb 23.
Just before demise, he had returned home after coaching sessions at St Xavier High School in Goregaon.
He had served in Mafatlal Mills and as Maharashtra state player he played a key role in winning the Santosh Trophy. Having served in the Central Bank of India and later on in Mafatlal, he was captain of both teams.
Hailing from Ullal in Mangalore, he is survived by wife and a daughter.
