Mumbai, May 4 (IANS): State-owned electrical equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on Monday said it has commissioned a 195-MW thermal unit in Muzzafarpur district in Bihar.

In a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange, the company said it is the first of the two 195-MW units to be commissioned by BHEL at the thermal power plant of Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited (KBUNL), a joint venture of NTPC Ltd. and Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL).
