After bagging awards at Cannes, Richa's Masaan is off to a flying start back home

Mumbai, Jun 30: The trailer that has been released of Neeraj Ghaywan's movie 'Masaan' has been approved and applauded by Bollywood prior to its nationwide release in its own homeland. The movie, that is said to bring some raging issues to the forefront, had its leading actress Richa Chadda in tears alongside its director as they were treated to a resounding ovation when the movie was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, 2015.

The movie won two awards at the prestigious film festival as well as heaps of praise for all the work put in. Bollywood big names took to Twitter to promote the film as well as their own excitement for it. Sonam Kapoor tweeted, "Please watch the trailer of massan shot in Benaras, releasing July 1st! It's won two awards at cannes!!"

While Alia Bhatt wrote, "Masaan trailer looks just LOVELY!! Can't wait to catch it."

Sonakshi tweeted, "They made us proud in Cannes." Watch the amazing trailer of #Masaan...releasing 24th July! Looking forward!" while Pulkit Sharma too shared his views," #Masaan ko banana nahin asaan! Trailer looks fab! Hard hitting n promising guys!!"

Many added the URL of the trailer urging their fans to watch the much awaited and highly praised movie.
