Mangalore, May 17: Perhaps nothing moves faster than private buses in the city. These buses just zoom away causing panic in the hearts of all.  Even if there is no place for a mobike to move, private buses move in busy roads.

It is said that most of the accidents involving private buses take place even before the bus rams.  It is so because the drivers of other vehicle get panicked and are confused when they see a marauding private bus coming from opposite direction.

This was proved so true on Thursday May 17 afternoon when a speeding private bus rammed into parked cars at Nanthoor near here.

The route number 4 bus plying between the city and Mermajal was on its way to city when the accident occurred.  It is said that the driver was trying to overtake another vehicle but saw a tanker coming from opposite direction at the last moment.

He suddenly applied brakes to avoid ramming into the tanker.  But he could not bring the bus under control.  As a result it skidded, left the road and rammed into two cars parked in front of the shopping complex near Capitol Apartments.

The bus was speeding at such a pace that the cars after being hit by the bus, rammed into a shop, damaging the shop too.  Even the cars have been damaged to a large extent in the accident.

The Kadri police have registered case in this regard.
