Mangaluru: BCF to award scholarships to 600 students, medical help to 60 needy

Mangaluru, Aug 20: "Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) will distribute scholarships to 600 economically backward PUC students and wheel chairs to 60 physically challenged people of the district." said Dr B K Yusuf, the president of Dubai Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF) in a press meet at press club on August 20 in the city.


Addressing the media Yusuf said, "For the past 13 years, we have been distributing scholarships to talented students. This year we have decided to give scholarships to 600 economically backward PUC students and 60 wheel chairs to phyisically challenged people. The programme will be inaugurated by Karnataka health minister U T Khadar on August 23 at Loyola hall St Aloysius college  on Sunday at 1.30 pm."

"There will be career guidance symposium at 9 am by Prof Dr Kaup Mohammed, the dean from UAE London American city college . Mohan Alva the chairman of Alva's education foundation, M Hasan Darvesh the chairman of Darvesh group and BCF ambassador from UAE, B M Farookh the chairman of Fiza group of companies, B Ramanath Rai the district incharge minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake the minister for urban development, MP Naleen Kumar Kateel, MLA Mohiuddin Bava, MLA J R Lobo, MLC Ivan and many more guests will be present on the occasion." he added.

"M Hasan Darvesh and S M Sherif of Kushi group will be awarded CSR special award and K S Saheed Karnire will be honoured with 'Star of Bearys 2015' award. There will be also felicitation programme for students and for people who have achieved glory in sports." he concluded.

Usman Mulur the president BCF scholarship committee Dubai, M E Mulur vice president Bearys cultural forum, Dubai and B A Mumtaz Ali patron of BCF and others were present at the press meet.
