India-Pakistan NSA talks called off

Jaipur, Aug 21 (IANS) : India on Friday called off the NSA level talks with Pakistan after the latter decided to go ahead with talks with Kashmiri separatist leaders.

External affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup said National Security Advisers Ajit Doval of India and Sartaj Aziz of Pakistan were to discuss terrorism related issues in New Delhi on August 23-24.

The spokesman said that "unilateral imposition of new conditions and distortion of the agreed agenda cannot be the basis for going forward" with the talks.

Right decision taken by India as there will be no outcome-waste of time & money. Better not to plan any more talk as lot of innocent lives are lost in cross-border terrorism before talk.

Pakistan is pretending as if it doesn't know after its defeat in 1971 war and agreed to the Simla accord as cease fire agreement which says Kashmir is no more a international issue hence out of UN ambit but a bilateral issue and should be resolved bilaterally. The whole world endorses and agrees with Simla accord and has rejected UN resolution. Pakistan is the only country which is still crying for UN resolution even after in agreement with Simla accord.
