Sullia, Jun 28: A young man was electrocuted while undertaking repair works at Chettinadka near Kalmadka here recently
The deceased person has been identified as Ramesh (26), a local. He was helping the Mescom staff in repairing electric supply which had been disrupted owing to heavy rains.
After disconnecting the electricity supply, the linemen began their work. Unfortunately, someone switched on the fuse while they were repairing the cables. As a result, Ramesh was electrocuted while a lineman who was guiding the repair works escaped almost miraculously, sources said.
Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.
