Mangaluru, Sep 23: The inaugural function of the student association and Engineers Day celebration for the year 2015-2016 was held on Monday September 21. Shoaib Ahmed, senior manager of human resources, NuWare Systems Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru was the chief guest of the function.

After lighting the lamp as a symbol of inauguration, Shoaib Ahmed in his inaugural address mentioned that having a dream in life and trying hard to achieve the goal is very necessary to be successful in life. By having a dream each and every student with his skills and knowledge can build up the society in a better way.

Dr Srinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college gave the presidential address. In his speech he motivated the students remembering the contributions of Sir M Visvesvaraya to our society. He also spoke about the engineering challenges for knowledge era and about the future technologies.

Dr Gopalakrishna Bhat, faculty coordinator of the student association introduced the office bearers for the year 2015-16.

Sugandhini Shankar B, president, student association welcomed the gathering and Devika K, vice-president, student association, rendered the vote of thanks. The formal function was followed by a cultural program by the students.
