Croatian parliament dissolved ahead of upcoming elections

Zagreb, Sep 28 (IANS): The Croatian parliament was dissolved on Monday ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections which will be held before the end of the year.

Although the election date has not been set, it is estimated that it is likely to take place on or before November 22, EFE news reported.

The current parliament was a result of elections held in December 2011, in which the progressive coalition, Alliance for Change, led by the Social-Democratic Party of incumbent Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, won.

These parliamentary elections will be the eighth since 1990's first multi-party election.
