Well Done Lok Ayukta officials. This is a good start which should not stop now. Your very next door neighbours the Drug Control department needs to be raided. Not forgetting the RTO and even Police depts. With the entry of Mr. Ashit Prasad a honest and upright official - we hope you will have strong support in making Mangalore rid of these corrupt people.

This is a great achievement  the Lokhayuktha Officials doing in Mangalore, I would request them to conduct raids in houses of Puttur Taluk Office officials who are great beggers in Taluk office and links with the Village Accountants of each village. For all kind of certificates, approvals every one needs to pay to thei hi-tech white collar beggers, otherwise one will not get his job done in time, it will keep on postphoning untill one gets ready to pay. Even the office attendant also requires some money to bring the file from the higher officers office...

This is indeed good news. However, we don't hear much about such cases after an initial raid, like the recent one on certain police officers, who seem to still work as usual. All said and done, it is surely heartening to see the Lok Ayukta focussing on the district.

We had terrible experience visiting Mangalore two years back with my kids, we were made to wait for hours in hot and humid conditions by a lady traffic cop in Jyothi circle to check our insurance papers ,finally she let us go after accepting Rs100.

I was praising about my country’s great culture and history to my kids and I was clueless when my kids asked me why we were stopped and why we had to pay to let us go. Daijiworld -You guys are doing great job by appreciating Lokayukta`s work. Hope we will read more of these raids.

On behalf of every Public of the District,Thanks to You Lokayukta. God bless you all and give good health,so that you guys can catch more of these Vultures or I may call them Vampire Bats. They suck the blood out of common people in favour of wealthy, illegal builders and contractors.

I would suggest the Lokayukta group to seize the residenses and assests of all these suckers and throw them on road. Since they are very much experts in begging in official position, they will do good on streets too.

Please send another group of investigators to RTO officials's Residences. Keep a hidden camera or a mole to trap the Inspectors near Rosario church(Near head post office gate)Guys from driving licence schools will tell how much money is given to get the licence.

Public should come forward to help Lokayukta to trap these corrupt officials. By doing so,We will provide better future for this district and for our future generation.

I dont believe this,  Raid will happen and dissapear in 1 or 2 days.  Is there any clear picture re. what action has been taken against them and if they are found guilty the ultimate action should be - suspension/black list them for ever.

Thank you very much for this news.  These people are killing poor people.  For one licence they are charging lot of money.  For one signature they charge Rs.1000/- or more.  Dont leave these people like this, this should be a lesson to all and they must forget taking bribes for ever.

Frankly speaking I doubt whether this raid will yield any results because we Indians are so used to corruption that we have accepted corruption as a part of our day to day life. You can mark my words within two days these same guys will be back in buisness demanding more to recover their couple of days of lost earnings due to the raids.

If I sound like a very pessimstic guy so be it because I am a victim & witness to the deep rooted corruption at all levels of Indian govt offices

Congratulations once again. You deserve the respect from the public especially poor, their voices can not be heard in general without vitamin M to these unscrupulous officials. These are the backbone of our society, they are uneducated & powerless majority people. Even you dont get a job without bribe. Where we are standing? Where we proceeding? Now please you try to uncover the corrupt Revenue dept officials.

The Revenue dept officials are the most corrupt officials and they have their own pims. The money goes to their houses in the evening. The document writers are taking money from the public and despatching it in the evening.

Kindly unearth their benami assets & paste a memo in the revenue dept's main entrance in order to stop / avoid the bribe. Anyhow well done. Pl give some relief to the public and boost their confidence in the system. May God Bless u all.

Congratulations. You have done it. But only see that you keep it up. See that the case reaches to its logical end or else the purpose will get defeated. Take opinion from public. Give wide publicity in the leading newspapers, you might get to know about the benami property.
