Toronto, Oct 26 (IANS): A 20-year-old Indian-Canadian man has been charged with murdering his mother after an alleged domestic dispute, the media reported.
Kunal Bhavan faces a second-degree murder charge following an alleged domestic dispute ended the life of Vaishali Patel, 41, the Toronto Sun reported on Sunday.
Police rushed Patel to a hospital in critical condition on Saturday evening after they were called to the woman's house in Mississauga city.
She later died of her injuries. Police have not yet disclosed the nature of Patel's injuries.
"I was shocked (Sunday) morning when I read about the charges," thestar.com quoted Parth Midha, a friend who attended high school with Bhavan, as saying.
"He was a regular kid throughout high school -- we played sports together in middle school, he was a funny guy, and got along well with people."
