Mangalore: Duplicate Certificate Racket Bsted - Two Held

Mangalore, Aug 7: The Pandeshwar police have successfully busted a duplicate certificate racket and arrested 2 persons in this regard on Tuesday August 7.

The arrested persons have been identified as Ismail Karnir (22) of Mulki and Vijiyas Roshan (30) of Jokatte. They were arrested near the DC’s office in the city.

The alleged were masters in producing duplicate marks cards, RC’s, Voter identity cards, tax cards, driving licenses, birth certificates etc. Basically, the aspirants for gulf countries were contacting them for these duplicate records. They were selling these duplicate records for Rs 2,500 to 4,000.

The police have seized a car belonging to them. The arrested have also raised loans from 3 to 4 banks by mortgaging the fake records of the same car.
