Mangaluru: DK Football association president D M Aslam honoured

Mangaluru, Nov 19: D M Aslam, the president of Dakshina Kannada football association, who received the district Rajyotsava recently, was honoured during a function at St Ann’s educational institutes in city on Monday, November 16.





















A Sadananda Shetty, the president of Sridevi educational institutes, who was the chief guest in the function, said “D M Aslam has excelled in every field including social service, sports and politicians. He has been a role model for the younger generation. May God bless him so that he achieves more.”

D M Aslam, who spoke after the honouring, said “If our achievements reach people and we get satisfaction, then it is an offering to God. We should never work for recognition and honour. I dedicate this honour to my elders and parents. I am aware that my responsibility increases now. I will do my best to live up to expectations.”

Vijay Suvarna who was chosen as a state football association vice present was honoured during the occasion. Lenisa Fernandes, Simran D’Souza, Christal Pinto, Lerisa D’Silva, Kavyashree and Deekshitha who represented Karnataka team and Liral Fernandes who was elected as manager of the state team were felicitated during the function.
