Mumbai, Nov 23: “Studies are an investment. Therefore students should give more importance to textbooks than face book. Discipline makes life beautiful and the guidance of parents and guardians in necessary for children to achieve it. Discipline is the foundation of student's future. Banks are good Samaritans on the part of students providing them modern education. Banks have helped poor students also to get educated in foreign countries”, said St Xavier College director Fr John Rose.
Model cooperative bank limited held their annual programme of distributing student scholarships at St Xavier Engineering College auditorium on Saturday, Nov 21. In the programme chaired by Bank's executive president Albert W D' Souza, Chief guest Fr John Rose distributed annual scholarships and talent certificates 2015 to the school children of bank members
Bank's founder president John D' Silva and director Thomas D' Lobo spoke guiding and advising students. Directors Professor A P D' Souza, Lawrence D' Souza, Lazarus Menezes, Paul Nazareth, Philip L S Pinto, Benedict Rebello, advocate Pius Vas and Mariot D' Mello and bank's CEO and general manager William L D' Souza were on the dais.
Albert D' Souza presented flower bouquets to the guests. Additional general manager Herald M Serrao introduced the guests and compered the programme. Ashwini Mathais red the names of beneficiaries. Senior manager Zener D' Cruz proposed Vote of thanks.
