Mumbai, Jan 7: The International Children's Festival of Performing Arts (ICFPA) by Ryan International School today kicked off with the opening day parade. The theatrical parade with all national and international participants wore colorful costumes of their respective nations spreading the message of peace and harmony. Singing together, shouting the slogans for a peaceful world, these young global ambassadors will carry forward the mission of creating a world without violence, hatred and war.

True to its theme "Celebrating Diversity", the festival hosts participants from 17 countries around the world in an attempt to build a global platform of performances of dance, drama, music, puppetry and various other performing art genres. The multicultural exchange program is conducted in 19 international performances that aim to bridge the gap between all ages and nationalities.

Grace Pinto, managing director of the Ryan International Group of Institutions, who is a visionary behind the festival and aims at enabling social development through strengthening education for all stated, “The International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts (ICFPA) is a unique forum which celebrates diversity from various parts of the globe. Children have immense energy and events of this nature help them channelize these creative talents making them more confident. Our motto to develop ‘excellence in education and all round development’ remains undeterred. We thank our Lord Jesus for the privilege of being able to host a mammoth event of this nature in order to provide a symbiotic experience of internationalism to our students”.

This event is dedicated to celebrating diversity and creativity. It is scheduled to take place at three different venues in the city- Shanmukhananda Hall, St Andrews Auditorium and Ryan Global School from the January 7 to 10. It is open to all.

The festival creates the necessary magic for children to learn the fun way and to celebrate childhood and to keep the spirit alive through creativity.
