Mangalore, Sept 9: Dr Rajashekaran P Warrier, the vice chancellor of Manipal University at Kasturiba Medical College inaugurated a two-day CRE Seminar on contemporary advances in neurophysiologic perspectives in audiology and augmentative alternative communication, here recently.
In his inaugural address, he called upon experts in audiology and subsidiary fields to work in teams to find novel solutions to specific pathologies.
Further according to him there has been widespread advances made in these fields, but many of it is achieved individually. “Forming teams of such experts will lead to excellent results in the research scenario”, he advised.
Dr M V Prabhu, college associate dean delivering the presidential address stressed on the inevitability of human side for the advanced equipment in the hospitals.
Dr Sunil Deshpande, COO of KMC Hospital, Dr Jayashree S Bhat, head of the department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology were present.
