Mangaluru, Feb 10 : Konkani Films are not made often, and there is a general notion that they are technically backward as compared to films in other languages. But putting such notions to rest are the just-released posters of the first mega budget Konkani movie 'Ek Aslyar Ek Na', which promises to be rich in production, technical aspects and performance. This movie, which was filmed in and around Mangaluru in 30 days, is currently in the post-production stage.
The producer of this film is the veteran filmmaker Frank Fernandes Thottam, proprietor of Ferns Movie International, who holds a record in the Karnataka film industry for producing movies in 3 languages. He is of the opinion that this film will show a new direction to the Konkani film industry. With excellent direction, an experienced technical team, interesting storyline and top notch performances from the best Konkani actors of today, Frank Fernandes guarantees that 'Ek Aslyar Ek Na' is going to be a great film to watch out for.
Frank Fernandes, who is occupied with his business, is busy with Tulu-Kannada cinema and social service for the cause of community and culture, has given special attention to the making of the movie 'Ek Aslyar Ek Na' and has played the character of a police inspector in the movie. In his opinion, a movie should provide top quality and maximum entertainment to the general public and this is what he has tried to achieve in this movie.
Director Pradeep Barboza Paladka has successfully completed filming this movie within the stipulated time and has promised that this film would be ready by the planned release date. Television presenter and singer, Priya Menezes Hospet, Deepak Paladka of 'Nirel' movie fame, Alphons Moodubelle, Memori trio Melwyn, Richard and Jerome, Allwyn Danthy Pernal of 'Ami Dhogi Sezara', a daijiworld TV show, Prathap Hospet, John D’Silva Goa who has acted in superhit movies like 'Home Sweet Home' and 'Nachom-ia Kumpasar', Lavina Gomes, Claud D’Lima, Andrew D’Souza, Lucy Aranha Kuwait, Rons London, Gladys Menezes Hospet, Joseph Mathias, Arun, Allwyn Andrade, Clare Rodrigues, Melreena Hospet, Avith Barboza, Shaan Mangalore and Godwin Castelino Karkal have played significant roles in this movie.
The cinematography is by ace cinematographer D Shashikumar, who has immense experience in Bollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood movies.
Production supervisor Alphons Moodubelle and production coordinator Rajesh Kudla have rendered their services in their respective fields. Stunt direction is by Mass Maada and the dances have been choreographed by Akul, Girish and Rajesh Brahmavar.
Deepak Paladka takes care of all the marketing activities of the movie.
Kishore Moodbidri, who has worked as assistant director in Kannada serials and Tulu films like 'Chaali Polilu', 'Chandi Kori' and many others, has rendered his expertise as assistant director of this movie along with the dynamic, able and well-known young Konkani writer Stany Bela, who is trained in cinema direction from Calicut Pro-Vision.
