Bengaluru, Mar 10: 'Printing your impressions brilliantly' is the tagline of the Bangalore-based printing enterprise, Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd, the printers of Daijiworld English Weekly and several other reputed publications, journals and books.
But with the blessing and dedication of its new spacious, most modern and well-equipped over 1.5 lakh sq ft new facility at Mallarabanawadi, off Nelamangala, at the entrance of the Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway, the 46-year-old company went a step ahead in executing the vision of owning and moving into the exact location identified by its founder Late Antony Victor Rego twelve years ago.
The blessing and dedication of the new premises of Brilliant Printers Pvt Ltd, which has now emerged as Bangalore number 1 printing establishment of its kind, size and facilities and the second in the entire Karnataka, was performed by Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore, in the august company of his brother bishops – Bishop Thomas Vazhapilly (Mysore), Bishop Henry D’Souza (Bellary), Bishop Robert Miranda (Gulbarga), Bishop Peter Machado (Belgaum) and Bishop Gerald Lobo (Udupi) – Managing Director and CEO of Karnataka Bank Ltd P Jayarama Bhat, Mangalore Congress MLA J R Lobo, Malleswaram BJP MLA Dr C N Ashwathanarayana, State Government’s Delhi Legal Advisor and Congress Spokesman Brijesh Kalappa and a galaxy of dignitaries from Bangalore and other parts of the State, including from abroad, a large number of priests, nuns and other friends as well as well-wishers.
Anil Peter Rego, the dynamic Managing Director of Brilliant Printers, was overcome with emotions as narrated the inspiring saga of his illustrious father, Late A V Rego, backed by his years of experience in working in printing presses moved from India’s financial capital of Mumbai in 1957 to the IT capital of Bangalore, to plant the seed of his enterprise in a 100 sq. ft. rented office in the busy Chickpet area in the Central Business District in 1970 with a modest treadle machine to gradually grow in production capacity and numbers and finally shift to own place at Lottegollahalli, close his residence at Mathikere.
Over the years, the press expanded rapidly and had to move to a bigger place on lease near Doddaballapura in 2004 and now finally to the new and much expansive location.From the early journey that began with a treadle machine, the printing press got itself equipped with automatic sheet fed and web offset printing machines and then to fully automatic binding and finishing machines with an employee strength of around 400, the growth Brilliant Printers continues building on the core strengths of excellent corporate work culture and people that have enabled excellent relationships with clientele everywhere, delivering world class products and services with unerring precision to emerge as one of the largest printing and binding facility under a single roof catering to the exacting demands of the large client portfolio encompassing a diverse range of reputed publishers, corporates, religious and government institutions to MNCs.

Karnataka Bank Ltd.’s Managing Director and CEO P Jayarama Bhat, who had friend, philosopher, guide and financier to Brilliant Printers right from its small beginning in 1970 to its various growth phases, said he was proud to being associated with Brilliant Printers and its founder Late A V Rego and his devoted wife Irene Rego, the Chairperson of the Company’s Board of Directors, and the couple’s three sons – Peter Anil, Thomas Manil and Paul Sunil – said the very fact that the Bible Society of India, the first major client, stood by the company and continues its association over the years was the most eloquent testimony to the quality of service and reputation for customer satisfaction.
"It was the vision of Late A V Rego to establish the Printing Press at the present location, which has now been executed by his wife Irene Rego and sons Anil, Manil and Sunil," Bhat said pointing out that the tagline of Brilliant Printers – Printing Your Impressions Brilliantly – can be expanded to include Executing the Vision Brilliantly. "This is a truly remarkable and inspiring saga of growth and hard work," he said.
Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Bernard Moras, who presided over the function, said hard work, faithfulness, love of God and concern for the less privileged persons were the hallmarks of Rego family and lauded them for their dedication and commitment.
