Cellphone conversation when walking accounts for youth's life

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Mar 15: A youth was found dead on the railway tracks at Kapikadu near Thokkottu on Monday March 14 morning. Presumably the youngster was engrossed in cellphone conversation when crossing the railway tracks, as a result of which he failed to notice that a train was approaching. He was crushed instantly.

Jithesh (26), son of Srinias and Jayanti couple living at Kumpala Bypass lost his life in this tragic accident. He was an electrician by profession and travelled daily by bus to Mangaluru to work there. He had not returned home after leaving for work on Sunday morning. As usual, on Sunday night, he had alighted from the bus at Thokkottu and was walking by the railway tracks towards his home. The fact that his right hand and a cellphone held by him were crushed under the weight of moving wheels of the train have given an indication that he was talking on the phone when walking.

Jithesh, who was unmarried, has left behind parents and a brother. The railway police, who have registered the case, are of the opinion that Jithesh failed to notice the train approaching him from behind, as he was busy with his mobile phone conversation.

Jithesh, may your soul rest in eternal peace. Sympathies to his parents and brother who have lost a loved working member of the family. There has been many deaths of people who were busy talking on their cell phones and not bothered of what is in front of them. Many have died coming under trains, buses and other vehicles while talking on their cell phones. It is also dangerous for someone to talk on a cell phone or texting while driving.

What was the loco pilot doing eh? Trains leaving Mangalore do not gain much speed by the time they reach Thokkottu. He could have easily been spotted (even though it was night time) and alerted by sounding the horn.
Whatever the reason maybe, people should never be too engrossed in telephonic conversations when they travel beside roads or railway lines.

    Sad News...RIP

Day by day we read lot of news about youngsters. Accident, suicide, murder etc.... Future generation of this nation loosing their beautiful life in a early age.

Youngsters using smart phones to destroy their life. while talking, playing on the mobile and listing the music through ear phones they don't bother what is happening in their surrounding!!!.

In Mumbai also we can see these kind of incidents.

    Very sad.

We pray that God May Enlighten and fill all the youth and children with his wisdom, knowledge and understanding and keep them away from all evil things.

    RIP.
    Condolences..

That is the reason why we should not use cellphones while driving, few people concentrate only into the conversation in cellphone and be unable to call to mind about the steering wheel which is in another hand and the road in which we are driving or walking.
So pls TAKE CARE while Using Cell Phones on road.
