Mangaluru: Speeding car topples at Yeyyadi - Narrow escape for driver

Mangaluru, Mar 22: The driver of a car had a providential escape after the car toppled, reportedly due to high speed, at Yeyyadi here late night on Monday March 21.

The identity of the driver, a man, is not yet known.

The Hyundai Verna car carries Kerala registration.

Sources said that the person driving the car was alone and was coming from Mangaluru airport towards the city.

It is learnt that the car was being driven at a high speed, due to which it went out of control of the driver and toppled. Though the car was badly damaged, the man escaped with minor injuries.

Due to the accident, traffic was affected for sometime on Tuesday March 22 morning. Traffic police arrived at the spot and mae arrangements to clear the road.

No case has been registered.

    As far as I know, if u type the car number..u wil get the owners name.this is the recent improvement.its not difficult to know the owners name

    Two causes of accident Alcohol and high speed Ban these two there will be less than 1 percent accidents in road. Kerala government is already taking steps to ban alcohol and putting speed limits Hope we follow thsi rule in Karnataka too

    KL 14 = KL 60 = Danger! The only Cars who just cannot be left behind (pun intended). Their only aim in life seems to be overtaking at the cost of others life.. Had many near death experiences coz of them.

    I am a regular user of this road...believe me I get scared to see the way Drivers especially KL registered cars drive....many of them overloaded also......RTO should be more vigilant on this stretch of Road(Runway for KL cars !!).

    No sense while driving such a good and clean road, there were no curve near yeyyadi, his carelessness would have taken someones life.

    it's pure drama. or else do u think identifying the car driver or car owner is so tough ... that also to the department ? It's just to hide the story. or else there should be a immediate case registered , with over speeding and the public problem created. now this will go off just like that.
