Puttur: Adoor police thrash wine shop employees at Galimukha

Puttur, Mar 28: Station house officer of Adoor police station in Kerala, Santosh Kumar, and police constables attached to his police station reportedly visited a wine shop at Galimukha in Nettanige Mudnoor village in the taluk on Saturday March 26 and beat up its employees.

The footage of the policemen thrashing the employees of the wine shop have been captured by the CCTV cameras installed there.

It is said that Santosh Kumar came with his subordinates to the shop on Saturday and wanted some election-related details. The employees expressed their helplessness as they were not aware of the facts, and asked him to contact owner of the shop, duly providing address and telephone number of the owner. The officials refused to accept this explanation and beat them up, the employees claim.

Both the wine shop employees, Shashidhar and Manjunath, got admitted into a private hospital in the town where they are being treated. Rural station police sub-inspector, Ravi B S, visited the spot and gathered details.
