Athani, Oct 8: Gandhi Jayanthi was observed at Sneha Jyothi training centre for the physically-challenged at Athani in Belgaum on Tuesday October 2.  The programme was presided over by Fr K C Chacko, director of Sneha Jyothi, Fr Hrudayaraj, assistant director of Sneha Jyothi, Deepak Dattatre Homakar, entrepreneur and local social worker, Stany Bantwal, journalist from Mangalore were present on the dais. 

Vinayak, student of Sneha Jyothi Centre delivered talk on Mahatma Gandhi.  Variety entertainment programmes were staged by the inmates of Sneha Jyothi.  Ajit welcomed the gathering.  Eshwar, proposed vote of thanks.  Veeranna, the teacher compered the programme.

Laxman from Saudi Well-wishers' Association, Athani, distributed fruits to all the inmates of Sneha Jyothi training centre for physically-challenged to mark Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
