Mangaluru, Apr 19: The renovated physiotherapy centre and District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) were inaugurated at Wenlock Hospital here on Tuesday, April 19.

Health minister U T Khader in his inaugural address said "One of the best physiotherapy centers has started here today at government Wenlock hospital with the contribution of Rotary club. I thank Dr Shantharam Shetty for setting up limb centre here at Wenlock hospital. Since our government has taken charge, we have bought many schemes like peritoneal dialysis, dental care centre, ten bedded dialysis center and DOTS TB center. The main aim of all these facilities is that, poor people should get the best medical facility."

"Government officials, doctors, nurses and other staffs should give best service to the patients. Doctors should give time to patients. I request aspirants to join government service only if they are service oriented. People coming to government hospital are poor and we should build their confidence in government hospitals. Government hospitals have progressed to an extent but still there is a need to develop these hospitals. It is possible only by giving good services by the staff. I thank Mangaluru Rotary club for giving equipments worth Rs 25 lac to this physiotherapy centre." Khader added.
