Mangaluru, Apr 20: Police personnel attached to the city crime branch (CCB) here have succeeded in arresting another accused relating to the murder of Rajesh Kotian, a fisherman at Ullal Mogaveerapatna.
The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Rannees alias Ranni, resident of Kelagebeedu in Ullal here.

Rajesh Kotian alias Raja, residing in Ullal Mogaveerapatna, was murdered near Baraka Overseas Traders factory in Ullal Kotepura. Kotian had left his home towards Ullal Kotepura jetty to attend to fishing work at around 2.40 am on April 12 when he came under attack from miscreants, as per a complaint lodged by Jagadish Kotian, brother of Rajesh.
Mohammed Asweer alias Achchu, Abdul Mutalib alias Muttu, and a juvenile had been arrested by CCB police from near Someshwara railway station near Ullal relating to this murder on April 14. Among the three persons who are absconding after being a part of the murder plan, Abdul Rannees was taken into custody from near Farangipet bus stand. The CCB police have since handed over the arrested accused to Ullal police for further action.
The police have continued their hunt for the remaining two absconding accused in the case.
