Bengaluru, May 5: Four-time MP, former union minister and former president of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP), V Dhananjay Kumar, is likely to be admitted into the BJP, if sources are to be believed.

Dhannanjay, considered to be a staunch Yeddyurappa loyalist, had hurled choicest abuses against BJP leaders including the central leadership for ousting Yeddyurappa from the post of the chief minister. He had followed Yeddyurappa to KJP when it was formed, and was made its president. Later, when KJP was dissolved, there was opposition for his re-entry into the BJP because of the way he slammed the leadership, it was said. He had thereafter joined JDS.

It is said that behind-the-scene preparations are going on to take Dhananjay Kumar back into the BJP fold. A decision on this issue is likely to be taken shortly.

On Wednesday May 4, Kumar went to the residence of BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, and held prolonged discussions with him. It is gathered that he expressed his desire to come back to BJP. Yeddyurappa, who expressed his readiness to embrace the veteran leader back, told him that his admission might be possible if he is prepared not to transgress party discipline as in the past, have cordial relationship with leaders of the party without frictions or controversies, and not to give rise to any kind of confusions. He also told him to work honestly without expecting any posts, sources added.
