Mangaluru, May 15: Pana Pre University College was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada MP, Naleen Kumar Kateel near Mangalore International Airport, Kolambe-Bajpe on Sunday, May 15.
The inaugural programme began by lighting the lamp by Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Math along with other dignitaries on the dais.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Darshan Shankar, vice chancellor, Transdisciplinary University said, “Abdul Kalam always urged youth to dream big. Dr Prakash has followed that path and has dreamt big. I hope this college transforms many young lives. Dr Prakash is a visionary and his vision will benefit many in coming years,”
“I think the term experiential learning is the natural way of learning. I hope that this institution trains young minds and helps them attain pinnacle of success. I am glad to see that yoga is incorporated in the curriculum. It is not only intellectual mind which allows us to learn but also the rational mind which helps us to learn.” he added.
“The classroom learning should transform in practical life and give hands on experience to youth who come here. I am sure this institution will be a trend setter. I wish and congratulate Shrividya Eduaction Foundation for this new venture.” he concluded.
Speaking on the occasion, district in charge minister, B Ramanath Rai said, “Education is very important for every individual. In the past, very few people attended school. But gradually the number of people attending school has increased. We have made tremendous achievement in the education field. Education is not only confined to books. I wish Pana College all the very best.”
“There is need to protect our environment. In this regard, awareness should be created among people by education and help in protecting environment,” he added.
Dr Rajendra Kumar, chairman of SCDCC bank, Amarnath Shetty, former minister, Dr Prasad Hegde, administrator, Usha Rao, COO of Pana Education and others were present.
