Needful should be done at the earliest to allow the flooded rain waters to percolate & recharge the ground water level so as to avoid the water crisis next summer.

When roads below ground level water flows towards the direction. There is no drainage for passage of water. Wonderful floods can be seen only in Mangaluru. When Hampankatta is flooding, Balmatta does not see of water from above such is the mode of rain of present day. This season heat is unbearable. God knows when Monsoon rains start and quench the thirst of Mangaluru, Udupi and other parts of India.

Our people don't learn from past. If a tree or its branches are over the roof of your house you need to trim/cut them before monsoon. If a tree has its roots over the ground , cover it with enough soil . Simple precautions avoids huge loss & disasters

Looking at the pictures, the flooding is man made!. Poor planning and construction has led to this disaster!. Dont know what kind of engineers we are producing!. Why then blame on nature which is doing its job efficiently!!!!?

Suppose good rains in Ghat section, Sullia Belthangady, Uppinangady Bantwal and Puttur rain water will come to the river and the flow of water in the dams storage water will increase.

Mangalore rain will wash away to sea. However people will have cool days than heavy heat.

Praise God and His name be glorified.
