Bengaluru, May 20: It is very sad to see modern educated people going for superstitions in life. A husband has gone to family court asking for divorce saying that the birth of a daughter has spoilt his chances of going for Kanakabhisheka.
Kanakabhisheka is a custom where the paternal great grandfather on the birth of his great grandson does Abhisheka presenting flowers of gold to the child. Natural flowers are kept along with gold flowers. Later the gold flowers are donated to the relatives in the family. If the child is a girl, no Kanakabhisheka is held. The birth of girl to Ravi has caused the problem.
Ravi has been trying for divorce for the last three years. The family court after listening to the arguments has expressed shock and is investigating. Family people and elders had convinced Ravi not to go for divorce with the reason of birth of a girl child. He has not paid heed to anybody.
His wife Shailaja is employed in a private company as a software engineer and is living with their three years old daughter.
