Karkala, May 21: Rural station inspector Rafik lead police team raided a house after receiving definite information and arrested rowdy-sheeter, resident of Darbuje mane near Attur church, William D’ Souza alias Vulli (43). 40 live bullets and two knives were recovered from him.

 


William D’ Souza, accomplice of underworld element Koraga Vishwanatha Shetty had committed crimes in Udupi district limits and Mumbai. He was reportedly posing as a decent gentleman by growing Jasmine at home. He used to keep knives stuck in his pant and commit crimes by roaming around every day.

He is accused of harassment, eve teasing of girls, causing communal tension, sale of illicit liquor, drinking alcohol, threatening with the gang, assaults, protection of smugglers, thieves and pick pocketers and such other activities.

A police case stands registered in Karkal rural police station.

    These ornamental knives are for showcase only.Bullets with out pistol is collection purpose. Petty rowdy is shown ,in magnified glass. Police needs a publicity since no other major breakthrough has struck.
    Anyway rest in peace without alcohol for sometime ,then he can start all over again.

    Having a Christian name or taking a birth in a christian family does not make a followers of Christ. Jesus said your the Light & salt of the earth. It is very sad to know that some christian involved in criminal activities. Mr William pl pray to Lord to change your heart.

    Good he was caught, trust people can walk around without harassment from him and his gang.
    One thing is sure he will not come out from the jail so easily as so called social workers and political leaders will not influence police to bail him out like they do for other criminals
    William Should have stuck to growing Jasmine and take care of his family like most Christians do instead of working for underworld Koraga Vishwanatha Shetty.
    Christian leaders and spiritual leaders must trace out these kind of people in each parish and convince / help them to leave evil thing and come out of it completely. This is real conversion.

    Kind of strange. Looks like a fake story or police must have created the whole picture to blackmail dsouza. Feel sad to see such person to be scapegoat of policemen.during church attacks in mangalore police falsely filed cases against catholic boys and created fake storis to harrass the youth in jail.many youth went bad experiences with mangalore police.

    He is a local lungi DON. Police issued him several warnings earlier. He will not change. Now police have added new crimes to his file with the support of other political rowdies. Jail is safe for him.

    @Bhuvan I think you are right. The knives are more ornamental. One is a stiletto and its sheath. Only 3 knives are shown in pic not 4.
    Eve teasing and selling country liquor a possibility.
    Under the circumstances, police know better.
