Konkani Drama workshop held at Vishwa Konkani Kendra

Mangaluru, May 22: The one day workshop in dramatics was organized at Vishwa Konkani Kendra, here at Shakthinagar in city, on Sunday May 22. The president of Vishwa Konkani Kendra, Basti Vaman Shenoy inaugurated the workshop.

 

Addressing the gathering, Shenoy said "We need to transfer the art and culture to the next generation. In the past, we were not rich, but treasure of our culture made our life colourful. Today there is everything, but there are very few people interested in culture. Vishwa Konkani Kendra will support the interested in every way."

Speaking on the occasion, convener of the workshop and veteran dramatist Eddie Sequeira said "When we are learning something we have to observe and absorb from it. We have to keep learning and there should not be any end to it."

Retired Akashavani announcer Shakunthala V Kini welcomed the gathering and compeered the programme. Secretary of Vishwa Konkani Kendra, Prabhakar Prabhu rendered the vote of thanks.
