Chitradurga, May 22: A panchayat development officer (PDO) from the district has written to the state governor, seeking permission to murder three zilla panchayat (ZP)officials, identified as Chandrashekhar, Sunil, and Sridhar. The letter, which defies common sense and discipline, and is written by M S Moksha Kumar, has been making the rounds now through WhatsApp.
Moksha Kumar, who was hitherto working as panchayat secretary, was promoted and transferred as PDO of B G Kere in Molakalmur taluk of the district. After reporting for duty there, Kumar has remained absent continuously. On account of unauthorized absence, he was suspended four times. Still, he brought pressure repeatedly by writing letters to the chief executive officer of the ZP, seeking disbursement of his salary.

He was then transferred to ZP office but here again he failed to report for duty. He began to pressurize the officials for payment of salary in the guise of suffering from kidney failure. It is being claimed that in the past, he had written to the governor seeking euthanasia. It is said that the officials of the ZP have found about some irregularities with which he was involved. Thereafter, he has written to the governor seeking permission to eliminate three of his colleagues.
When contacted, chief executive officer of the zilla panchayat, Nitesh Patil, said he was not aware about this development, and that he would be able to look into the matter on Monday.
