'Janapada Utsav' Depicting Karnataka Culture held

Mumbai, Oct 29: 'Janpad Utsav', a popular event across the country and in native Karnataka was held at Karnataka Sangh auditorium, Matunga, here on Saturday October 27. 

The programme was presided over by Keremane Shambu Hegde of Karnataka Janapad Academy and was inaugurated by Sadanand D Nayak, CEO, R S Co-Operative Bank. 

Karnataka Sangh president Manohar M Kori, honorary secretary Srinivas Jokatte, treasurer M D Rao, joint secretary Omdas Kannangar, cultural division convener Eshwar Alevoor, Kannada Parishat Maharastra unit president, G D Joshi, Janapad Academy registrar B N Harady and others were present.

Janapad (folk dance) of various districts across Karnataka was staged by several dance troupes, as part of entertainment programme.
