Karkala: Attack on supporters of ZP member - main accused held

Karkala, Jun 22: The police of the town station here have succeeded in arresting Praveen Kulal, who was named as the main accused in a case pertaining to attacking supporters of a BJP zilla panchayat (ZP) member, Sumith Shetty, at Bailoor here during last week.

The police have also recovered the lethal weapons which were put to use during the said attack.

An eight-member gang had attacked seven supporters of Sumith Shetty at Bailoor with swords on June 17.

Police said that Praveen Kulal Nadpalu was named as main accused in the past in cases like murder of Basheer, murder of Banglegudde Sulaiman, death threat incident near Moodubelle bar, collection pf protection money at Hiriyadka etc.

    BD boys thought as usual they were up against unarmed and outnumbered common people but this time it was different story, never the less they attacked the well armed rowdy gang and learnt a lesson that it is very different to assault a common man than a rowdy. MAADIDUNNO MAHARAAYA

    Since Praveen Kulal is accused in the past in cases like murder of Basheer, murder of Banglegudde Sulaiman, he is eligible for 'Clean Chit' for attack on Sanghee leaders.

    You are so easily telling police to put to rest such criminals.
    You should also understand by putting to rest such criminals\goondas Police loose too much which is paid to them by goondas\criminals to look the other way....
    They will be around until someone of their own kind kills them.
    All these goondas\criminals are used by Politicians and when they are arrested they come out on bail within hours or a day or two. Even the top most Police officer cannot do anything AT ALL. They are shit scared to loose their job\position.
