Bengaluru: Rotarian M C Dinesh to lead FKCCI in its 100th year

Bengaluru, Jul 1: Rotarian M C Dinesh, a first generation entrepreneur with considerable experience in dealing with issues relating to Trade, Industry and Services Sectors, is the new President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bengaluru for the year 2016-17.

Dinesh becomes the President of FKCCI as the Karnataka’s premier trade and industry body starts its 100th year journey.

He has earlier served as the President of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA).

He has also served as the Chairman, Industries Committee of FKCCI and during the past two years, he has been FKCCI Vice-President and Senior Vice-President.

Dinesh brings with him more than three decades of business experience besides dynamism, commitment and energy into his new role as the President of FKCCI.

He maintains excellent relationship at all levels in the Government both in the States well as at the Centre and close relationship with Trade, Industry and Commerce in Karnataka.

Firmly committed to implementing the vision of Team FKCCI, he sees himself as the game changer. He prefers to work smart to optimize the time available.

K Ravi was elected as the Senior Vice-President. He is a practicing Chartered Accountant and has earlier served as the Vice-President of FKCCI.

Ravi has served in FKCCI for over two decades in various capacities including as the Chairman of Central Taxes, International Business, Banking, Finance and Economic Affairs Committees.

With his specialization in Taxation, Audit and Management Advisory Services, he has served earlier as the President of Karnataka State Chartered Accountant Association (KSCAA).

He has presented papers in various Seminars and Conferences. He is a Member of Rotary, Bangalore Orchids. He has been an Assistant Governor of Rotary Dist. 3190. He was a Governor of the Bangalore Chapter of Institute of Internal Auditors, USA. He has served in various capacities in many organizations and has always been interested in social causes.

Ravi has organized and participated in several Business Delegations from FKCCI to Australia, New Zealand, Eastern Europe, Japan and Canada.

Sudhakar Shetty was elected as the second Vice-President. He has served FKCCI in his capacity as the Chairman of the District Coordination Committee for many years and organized State Level District Conferences and Road Shows on Global Investor’s Meet.

Shetty has earlier served as the President of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mysuru and was also the Vice-President of the MCCI.

A man of diverse interests and capabilities, Shetty is the Chairman of Jnanasarovara International Residential School. He was also the President of Mysore Hotel Owners Association.

He is also the recipient of many honours and awards including the “Visionary of Karnataka” by Times Group in 2008 and he is a Special Invitee of KASSIA. He has served as the President of many associations.
