Mangaluru airport terminal closed for visitors due to security reasons

Mangaluru, Jul 2: Following the bomb attack on Istanbul airport days back, the security at Mangalore International Airport has been tightened.

As a first measure, visitors' entry into the terminal building has been stopped with effect from June 30 for a period of 7 days, it is reported.

Airport director J T Radhakrishna said that the tickets to the terminal for visitors will not be sold till further notice or the expiry of the seven-day period.

The recent suicide bombing at Istanbul airport in Turkey left 44 dead and hundreds injured. Two of the three bombers have been identified as suspected IS operatives of Russian nationality, media reports said.

    The Air Port Manager please note that in exit place all cars are parked and over the exit bridge too, which is very dangers. Any person can bring and dangers items and keep in the car or they may throw inside the airport so please clear the bridge from entry to exit. In the parking lot vehicles not parked in proper way as if people don’t have common sense at all. Even police are list concern about it.

    why closing? make strict checking and allow people as it is, this type of activity will happnen every where anywhere in world, secuirity check and system is the daily way of life in airports, we just can'nt take things granted ,and few days drama must be avoided.

    First main door at departure should open after scanning the passport ones the police checks the ticket and passport. Easy access to unauthorised people are restricted.

    We need Mangalore Airport safe for that any action regarding safety of passengers are welcome.But problem is first time flyer who get problem because no family members are allowed with passengers in these dates.Vehicle entry point need to be enhanced security measures where a single police man not visible nor check the vehicle movement.
