Bengaluru: Christian forum decries Anjaneya for defying religious equality

Bengaluru, Jul 8: Brothers and Sisters in Christ Forum has criticized the statement of social welfare minister, H Anjaneya, asking people from Dalit communities to seek reservation benefits by remaining in Hinduism rather than getting converted into Christianity and then seeking these benefits. The forum has demanded the minister to withdraw his statement.

Addressing a press conference held here on Thursday July 7, member of the forum, Antony, expressed the opinion that the ministers, who are occupying positions of responsibility, are expected to give equal treatment to all religions. He said that they are not justified in speaking derisively of a particular religion. "Therefore, the minister should tender apology to the Dalit Christian community," he demanded.

Forum members, Soloman Raj, Pradeep. Prabhuraj, Kamal Charan, K Manohar, Chandraprasad and others were present in the press conference.

    If a person has true faith in Lord Jesus there is no need of reservation because Lord said that first seek the kingdom of God, all things will be added to you.They should seek the Lords blessings instead of reservation.In many areas in our country I have seen people are living in deplorable condition but they don't know that Lord can change every thing in their life.

    Protest is against unfair policies of Govt which discriminating citizens on the basis of faith of the person. Such practices are called denial of natural justice.
    Did Lord Jesus Christ not showed us by example that we should assert against wrong practices?
    Has he not thrown out merchants and their things in the places of worship?
    Has he not called Pharisees, hypocrites?
    Has he not burned Fig tree for not giving fruits?

    Basically genuine Christians do not like to demand for reservations. The Bible says that they should work hard and earn their livelihood (You shall earn by the sweat of your brow - Genesis 3:19), and not by reservations or any other means like bribery, cheating, deceit etc. People who genuinely work hard are blessed with satisfaction in life and peace of mind.

    as per my personal opinion all favours for any caste or religion sc/stc , dalits OBCs all should be removed and only those who are economically poor below poverty line should get benefit. Hope this minister also works on same line no favours either for christian hindu muslim or any co called dalits.

    Nearly seventy years have passed since Independence, 16 set of (Approx) Union Governments has governed this Nation. Unfortunately Congress ruled the Nation for 50 years, and Gandhi Family PM where in the elm of affairs for 30 yrs. Still we are distributing BPL Cards, SC/ST Quota, OBC Quota Minority etc., etc. Is our Democratically elected Political system is able to change the destiny of our great Nation? is a big question. Regarding Dalit Christians and Hindu Christians controversy is not called for. If they are converted to Christianity then the onus of uplifting them falls on the very people who has converted them. This is my view point.

    Dear Valerian, Quota system has been used by Political Bosses to garner Votes. Any doubt about it. Imagine last 70 years what they have achieved. Only Crores crores of Money has been spent or Pocketed, still we have them. Regarding Christian Dalits, It is the moral duty of our Religion to share our prosperity with our Brethren rather then asking them to take the begging bowl and bend before the Politicians.

    First of all reservation policy shall be taken off. Then everybody will get equal rights. Unfortunately our reservation in on the basis of caste and not on the economic status, which is wrong by itself.

    what is Dalit christian? christianity and islam are pavitra religion where there is no caste basis. that is the reason, everybody converts! and then they blame the caste system in Hinduism for their conversion. so, please stop dalit christian, banajiga christian, reddy christian and brahmin christian. also stop this bias of dalits who converted cant be priest, or sit in front rows of a church. they dont get a decnet burial. their bodies are not allowed inside church for funeral mass. god made us all equal. please stop this caste bias!. Stop blaming Anjaneya for this!

    Not much dalits are there as priests. Only people from higher class are running tbe same. Only some persons are included some years back. When you treat everybody equal..let in all stages before finger pointing on other religion people.

    We Agree with Statement of Anjaneya. These Govt should bring strict law to control the Protestant Christians, who are converting the poor Hindus with Money and False reputation in the society. The Indian States Like Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Nagaland have suffered because of these types of syndrome since last four decades. some missionaries, Bogus Nobel Prize winners also are working international levels only to convert Hindus in to Christianity.

    Minister Anjaneya's stance is reveals,
    How the Govt benefits are reserved and being misappropriated among their own citizens!
    One caste is preferred, and the other caste is put down among equal poor's.
    Natural justice, can a Mother feed one hungry child and deny other hungry child?
    Bad Law, denial of natural justice and Inequality.
