Bantwal: 11-year-old girl hangs self, reason unknown

Bantwal, Jul 11: In a tragic incident, a minor girl committed suicide by hanging at Kadagoli in Pudu, Thumbay here on Monday July 11.

The deceased has been identified as Poojashree (11), daughter of Prasad and Mamata.

Poojashree was studying in standard 5. Sources said that on Monday, she came home in the afternoon after writing her exam.

After lunch, she went to her room to sleep, and even till 6 pm, she did not open the door. The family members grew worried and suspicious, and on looking through the window, they found her hanging inside the room.

The reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known.

Bantwal rural police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

    Its shocking to read this kind of news. Its strange that a 11 year old girl hangs herself. What is such a great reason for this. In other recent suicidal cases there are reasons. But what made this angel girl to do this act. Any suicidal wave is passing through this state?

    DURING OUR TIME, IN THE EVENING WHEN WE FINISH OUR ROSARY, DINNER WE ALL GATHER TOGETHER WITH PARENTS AND SHARE EACH OTHER WHAT HAPPENED TODAY. THATS WHY OUR RELATION WITH PARENTS WAS INTIMATE. NOW NOT LIKE THAT IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT!! EVERY KID HAS A MOBILE WITH INTERNET. NO COMMUNICATION AT HOME. ULTIMATELY THEY DEPRESS AND FEEL NO ONE LOVES THEM AND SUICIDAL TENDENCIES COMMON IN SUCH KIDS.
    MY SUGGESTION IS THIS SPEND AT LEAST 15 MINS. WITH YOUR CHILD EVERYDAY BY KEEPING ASIDE YOUR ALL WORK.
    THEN YOURS WILL BE A BLESSED FAMILY AND PARADISE ON EARTH. IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH ME I DONT CARE!!!

    We do not know the real reasons behind suicide of this kid. Yet, parents should keep a close connection or watch till the kid attains major. when they are minors it is not advisable to leave them alone or in a separate room etc because their mind is not yet matured to face tough situations. So parents should take extra care than repent later.

    Very strange things are happening in this family. Some time ago, a person, who is the tenant of this family died by suicide in same compound house of same family. Thereafter one auto driver who was driving his auto early morning died by a very simple auto slippage. After that they conducted lot of holy rituals, suspecting future troubles by spending lot of money. And now, suddenly this incident. Very nearer to this house, there is one more house with similar problems and original family have left that house and staying elsewhere. Many a times, we dont believe in such aspects. But something is happening with this house or compound or family. Sad.

    Sad news. Such a small girl, don’t know reason. May God save our generation. God give strength to the parents overcome the pain and sorrow they are going through.
    God has created us to live full life, sometime in tragedy young people untimely died from accident, suicide, sickness or murder( happened )and they not lived full life, had desire to live, body was dead, but soul is alive and unrest, wanted to live but can’t watching over the people living and jealous of they don’t had opportunity to live like this souls will hunt the people, and may that things are happened that place. (This could be a reason. May this is cause, May some curses are following in the land)

    absolutely stupid feed back. I will tell you why. where the smoking scenes are banned / censored ? yes, those were the days when such scenes were banned from the shows. but now whole movie they show the hero / villains smoking... displaying a small warning at the corner of the screen. I don't under stand the fandaa... who the hell reads that warning at the corner boss. that's how systems are screwed up because of the evils so called officers / authorities. They permit to show the everything , asking to display a warning ... such a small font... at the corner. Now, if we request to ban such suicide scenes, they will come up with a way as these scenes will be showed with a small warning as "suicide may kill you" ... Any ways, if implemented very very strictly, yes, a good advice.

    I dont think there is ban on smoking on-screen. But your comment is silly. If you want to ban suicide scenes then whats stopping you banning rest,

    Murders = Ban on screen murder scenes.
    Rapes = Ban on screen rape scene.
    violence = Ban on screen violence.

    After doing this what maybe left in the movies... romance and dancing around the trees?... well that one also, it well help in reducing girls eloping with boys.

    Then ban all the entertainment. Wait a minute... then you`ll realise that we have turned our self into a taliban state.

    Shock and tragic.I dont believe in this Story of hanging herself.Please investigate in this case.whether some near ones had a Hand in this.when this Girl had the Intention of suicide,wouldn't go and write exam,after coming home wouldn't take her meals.Did anybody thought of postmartum ,exam her foodrest in stomach?How come she came so high to tie the seil?or anybody hanged her?something is wrong here.May the Soul of this small Girl rest with angels.Heartfelt sympathy to the Parents.Try findout if in School someone tried to make fun or or..?sad.
