Mangaluru, Jul 12: The judicial custody of Naresh Shenoy, main accused in the murder of Vinayak P Baliga, stands extended till July 18. Shenoy was produced in the third JMFC court here upon which his custody was extended by a week.
RTI activist, Vinayak P Baliga, was murdered on a road near his home on March 21 this year. Within days, the police had identified Naresh Shenoy as the main accused. Although some arrests were made thereafter, Naresh Shenoy had remained evasive for over two months, after which he was arrested.
Shenoy had been entrusted to police custody twice at the request of the police. Thereafter, he is under judicial custody.
