We need to widen the roads as there are lot of vehicles. But at the same time we have to plant trees on either side of the road after construction which should be part of contract which sadly no one is interested. No political will from the politicians and no initiative from the people.

PS: yes, we have lost our entire 1 acre land got from ancestors in the name of highway but i dont complain. Nation first

The upgrade to 4-6 lanes of this main link between three important cities is a necessity since last 20 years. Karkal and Moodbidri as Towns have made huge developments in the last 10 years but the road link to Mangalore has remained the same since 75 years. The Traffic has increased 300% with a Bus leaving every SINGLE minute on both the direction apart from Trucks , Private cars , Taxi vehicles , two wheeler Etc.
I am sure many opposing voices will come up as already can be seen from some comments here, but people have to see larger picture of Country development Progress and growth.
Unlike earlier Government must set up task force for land acquisition with deadlines, award the Project for Internationally reputed companies (like L&T) so that Project can be completed within next 3-4 years with maintaining full Quality and safety.

Kindly consider to keep the pavement also to walk. Road widening is not a problem keep 4 to 5 lanes for the vehicles. But do not forget to keep pavements as poor people might walk there!!
