Mangalore, Nov 20: A two-day workshop on ‘Childhood and adolescence problems and the remedial measures for primary and high school teachers’, will be organized by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College in Ujire at SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences seminar hall from Thursday November 22.
P V Venkataraman Bhat, president of Beltangady taluk headmasters and composite pre-university college principals’ asssociation will inaugurate the said workshop.
Y T Balakrishna Acharya, reader in PG department of Psychology will be the resource person on November 22, who will deliver a talk on childhood problems in schools- identification, assessment and causes. Dr Elizabeth Daniel, clinical psychologist in KMC will speak on remedial measures for childhood problems.
M Y Manjula, head of PG department of Psychology, SDM College will deliver a talk on adolescent problems, identification, causes and assessment on Friday November 23.
P V Bhandary, a psychiatrist in Government Hospital, Udupi will conduct a workshop on remedial measures for adolescent problems.
Students as well as teachers of primary and high school will be participating in this two-day workshop.
A one –day seminar on ‘Assessment and management of sexual dy-functions’ will be organized by the PG department of Psychology in Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College at SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, seminar hall on Saturday November 24.
Dr K B Kumar, professor of Clinical Psychology in KMC Manipal will be conducting this seminar to the post graduate students.
