Beltangady, Jul 19: "We have been demanding to mitigate drinking water woes of Kolar district. We have never insisted that Yettinahole project should be implemented. The government needs to recognize this aspect. We as artistes treat people from all over the state equally. Therefore, the government should hold dialogue with people of Dakshina Kannada and ensure that the people of this district do not suffer," opined well-known Sandalwood hero, Shiva Rajkumar.
The celebrated actor was speaking to media persons during his visit to temple town Dharmasthala in the taluk on Monday July 18.
On questions raised by media people over suicide by deputy superintendent of police, Ganapati, Kumar said that people are aware what had actually happened. He appreciated journalists for doing excellent job in this context. He also felt that it is the duty of the government to realize the pain Ganapati's widow is going through.
